I’m going to struggle to write this review because I can not put into words how incredibly happy we are that we choose Matty to capture our wedding day.

From the moment I first messaged Matty he was genuine, warm, and made it clear that even if we didn’t choose him to photograph our wedding he was still there if we needed any advice along the way.

Matthew Allen Photography has gone above and beyond, I’d usually use the fraise exceptional “customer service” but it was more personal than that, we felt like friends from the very first meeting. I don’t tell people that I had a photographer at my wedding I say “I had a friend capture our wedding”

The whole day ran so smoothly, everyone commented on how great he was, the boys who are camera shy he had them at complete ease, it was fun, it was easy. He captured everything I could have wanted and more, so many candid natural shots because he just blended into our friends and family so well we didn’t know he was taking photos for a lot of it. The photos themselves we are so blown away, both very tearily watched the slideshow of photos yesterday and I had no words was completely speechless!

If you choose Matthew Allen Photography to shoot your day, you will have no regrets, worth every cent for the investment that these memories he captures are.

Matt helped plan our timeline to make the day as easy as possible plenty of time for everything with out feeling rushed. The shots from our wedding are so unique it makes me teary when I see them nothing overly posed and yet still amazing. To top it off it looks like we have a photo of every guest in a candid fun moment, while we also have some beautiful family portraits and couples photos of our guest to.

We got married in June 2022 and we are so happy with the photos, album and metal wall prints from the big day. It felt like Matt was everywhere at once on the day and captured all of our precious memories beautifully. He was also very receptive of our ideas and went above and beyond to make sure we were beyond happy.

Matt photographed our wedding and we knew we picked a good one by seeing his work online.

But, what he did for us on the day exceeded any expectations. He is so much fun to have apart of any event, so easy to talk too and makes you feel so comfortable.

He's communication with the lead up to the wedding was great too!

And if that isn't enough - he also supplied us with a sneak peak the next morning.

Matt and Alicia really are an amazing team and so talented with their work! We can't recommend them enough. We can't wait to have an excuse to get more photos!

Matty photographed mine and my husbands wedding 2 months ago and he was definitely one of the highlights of the entire day! He was with us for close to 12 hours on the day and was so attentive every moment. When we first met Matty in October 2021, we knew straight away that he was the one for us and we were 100% right! The first thing we noticed about Matty’s work is that it’s very natural, natural posing, natural lighting etc. absolutely stunning work. We received our wedding photos a few weeks ago now and we are absolutely obsessed with every single photo! It is definitely going to be a challenge picking our favourite photos to put in our wedding album that we will also be getting from Matty as part of one of his amazing and affordable packages! Matty kept in contact with us the entire year that we were planning and even at points offered assistance outside of his scope of work! Matty & his wife, Alicia are so inviting, comfortable and laid back all while being super professional. Matty did such an amazing job on our wedding and got along with everyone so much that we will continue using Matthew Allen Photography for ALL of our milestones and events. Matty and Alicia take the time to listen to what you want out of your experience whilst offering their professional advice. After having an initial meeting with Matthew, I instantly knew he would be our photographer for our wedding day. Matthew is professional, yet laid back and so easy to talk to, the perfect combination for us to have our special day captured!

Matthew went above and beyond by giving us ideas for the planning of the wedding and providing advice and vendor details to make our day so special. We wouldn’t have been able to do this without his expertise!

On the day, Matthew was essentially another guest, blending in perfectly! He captured the most beautiful details of our day, all our special moments and the end result really is magical. He even managed to get the groom to smile and relax in front of the camera!! The location photos were so much fun, we had a blast whilst the silly, candid, sweet and sneaky moments were all captured beautifully.

When we received our photos, I had so many tears of joy. So many moments were captured that I had already forgotten about because there was soo much that had happened on the day.

Matthew is a super talented photographer, creative, and with an eye for detail. We are extremely happy with our photos and can not recommend him highly enough to capture your special day.

Where do we even start with Matty… if you want a creative, hilarious, patient, proactive and passionate photographer then he’s your guy. Matty did so much to guide our Wedding Day perfectly, with his experience in what works and what doesn’t work his advice overall proved invaluable . We gave Matty creative licence on the day, as a result he took an awesome variety of shots encompassing the stunning surrounds, traditional portraits, intimate shots, plus some very special ones I had no idea he had done. Choosing Matty was the best decision and we could not be happier with the results.

I highly recommend Matthew he has done such a fantastic job on our photos we absolutly love them all we have too many favourites and the communication we recieved before and up to the day was perfect... Not just the photos are amazing but the whole process. Right from initial meetings to discuss what your looking for, wishes are respected. Matthew worked all day right into the night and did not miss any opportunities to get the most perfect shots! Absolutely in love with each of the images!!

Where do I even start,

From day 1 and even long before we actually booked Matty has has been so humble and approachable to any questions or queries I would ask him.

He is very honest and has a lot of obvious talent that I was forever blown away with the new and consistent amazing photos he captures.

Throughout the wedding planning process he would often touch base and even go the the location to scout areas to suite the photos we had in mind for the big day! And all I can say now is he was bang on and got what we wanted!!! 🙂

If that’s not commitment we’ll then I don’t know what is!!

He is a dead set Aussie legend with fast wit and funny humour and even tho he started our journey as a photographer, he has grown into a mate and good company to be around.

Matty and Alicia were great to deal with in photographing our wedding. From day dot they were professional and responsive. Matty was great at putting our awkward selves at ease during our photos and we had a lot of fun. Photos turned out great and we love them all! He also sent us a few shots the next day so we could share them immediately. All our photos were delivered to us within a short few of weeks which was so great. I couldn’t recommend him more. He’s worth every penny and a real pleasure to work with.
